New Post

So far things have been going good. I was able to enjoy a wonderful plate of a favourite dish, India’s Butter Chicken. Here’s some photos of the delicious Butter Chicken and the Roti bread.

Unfortunately, the Chicken was harder than usual, however it still tasted good enough to be enjoyed because I did enjoy it. Anyways, moving on to the main topic, curiosity struck me. I looked at this certain plant and I became quite fascinated and intrigued by it, to the point I’d like to know more about it. Therefore for any plant enthusiast or a person who knows their plants, I am wondering if any of you know the name of this plant?

You may laugh but to me, It looks like an edible plant, however, I won’t be taking my chances. I mean, I could just wash it and put some butter chicken on it. On second thought, that would be disgusting, but I’m not entirely thrown off if I could get paid to do it.

For the sake of making this post longer, I’ll add some more photos of the other plants this specific plant was forced to live with. That honestly sounds kind of like a mood, being forced to live with others. People with siblings might feel the same and know, but we still love our siblings despite certain things they do. Honestly, the mood thing was a joke because hey, in most cases we aren’t innocent either!

I think I saw an insect somewhere..

This insect, the white one. What do you think? Maybe I’ll also ask if you know what that insect is as well. Do you know the name of that little blurry insect? I doubt I’d get answers but it was fun posting some random things. Honestly though, I bet I’ll be forced into asking these questions on Quora or Reddit. For now, we’ll see.

Hope you enjoyed reading my post on entirely random things. Have a great day!

Reposting the same artwork on Instagram 90 times

I decided to try this as a challenge. So far, I’m only around half way! You can see it on my profile at http://www.instagram.com/alfianofong or more easily at http://www.alfianofong.tumblr.com.

I decided to draw up something quick and simple to do this challenge with. You know what? I’ll just post the photos here. I remind you that I haven’t finished this challenge. Anyways, here we go!

As you an see, the image loses quality and colour as I progress through this challenge. It shows visually what extreme compressing does to your files whether or not you believe the lesser megabyte size is worth the loss of quality. Though, it wouldn’t be as extreme as this. I will continue to progress through the challenge.

For now, it’s time to sleep!

Yours faithfully, Alfiano Fong.

Scripture Quotes Collection

I’ve collected a few images online of some of my favourite Scripture verses. I didn’t make them, only found, however I wanted to share. I hope you enjoy this collection of mine!

The Boomdorf Salad

Food. Boom.

img_3744

Your traditional Waldorf is pretty simple- apple, celery, grapes and walnuts covered in mayonnaise and served on shredded lettuce. It’s been that way since it was first made for a charity ball in 1896 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York and that’s what it is. Put chicken in it? Not a Waldorf. Pecans? Not a Waldorf. I get quite precious about people keeping a namesake for a dish then messing with the ingredients so I have to now emphasise that what I’m about to share is absolutely NOT a Waldorf salad. It is not a million miles away from it though, a twist on the classic one might say, even a tribute. Possibly a blatant plagiarisaton, but it’s a good one.

I was assigned salad duty at a homestead BBQ the other week and after some brief discussion with the Parentals we decided I would take a Waldorf, to much…

The Best Curry You Ever Did Blag

Food. Boom.

img_4694 A hearty vegan curry with butternut and chickpeas

Sometimes you chuck a load of stuff in a pan based on some vague cookery experience and a recent education in matters of B vitamins and it just works out to be the best dinner you’ve cooked in weeks. And quite possibly the best vegan meal that ever came out of your kitchen. Maybe the best vegan meal that didn’t involve chips…..anyway, here goes my accidentally brilliant curry, formed on a dozey Thursday evening from various bits in the fridge because we couldn’t be bothered to walk to town for supplies. Keeping dual textures of the sauce and the butternut makes for a more satisfying dinner experience and there’s some lovely savoury depth (and nutrition) from the yeast. It is is packed with fibre and vitamins and a decent protein hit, ready in less than an hour. It’s bloody lush.
